CryptoAI is an Artificial Intelligence Open-Source project to create an (open-source & free-to-use) end-to-end system for gaining insights into the price movement of cryptocurrencies. The project was initiated by @oscaralsing on his YouTube channel and now involves over 60 technical traders and developers, and the purpose is to grow this project to the active Steemit community. This project is for all of you Steemers who want to have more tools to predict good investments, and for you developers who want to get involved.

What is the purpose of the project?

• Enable private traders and investors access to powerful analytical tools for free.
• Easy-to-use and dynamic web interface for cryptocurrency price movements predictions.
• Learn more about cryptocurrency trading and AI systems.
• To get to know wonderful people who are actively involved in the open-source community.

At what stage is the project?

• We have a crude version of the application up-and-running. At the moment, a lot of emphazis is put on data gathering, and how we can secure it in the blockchain for our application.
• We are discussing partnerships with various hardware companies, to enable dedicated servers to train our models are more users are using the service.

Predicting cryptocurrency price movements

Creating AI software to predict the price movements of cryptocurrencies is a difficult task, as there are many irregularities in price patterns, and the fact that data is not easily accessible – at least not for free. We're tackling this issue by gathering tick data from hundreds of cryptocurrencies in real-time, and training various Deep Learning models on this vast amount of data.

As of current, we are developing a Long Short-Term Memory Recurrent Neural Network (LSTM), a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and an LSTM-CNN model for predicting price movements. The purpose of these various models is to combine them at a later state and use their combined power.
