Why am I a New World Optimist?
Introductions are always difficult. I mean, how much do you really want to know about me in the beginning? It's a little awkward sharing your deepest thoughts in your very first post. But, I could start off by telling you that when I was a kid, I always thought I would write a book about my life. I will save specific details for another time, but at 10 years old, even though I knew I was different from those around me, I had no idea exactly how different I truly was.
Sounds deep and melodramatic, right? Are you sitting on the edge of your seat just itching to find out why I felt I was so different? No? Didn't think so. :)
One difference was that even though I understood (as much as an average 10 year old can understand) the concept of capitalism, I couldn't comprehend why there seemed to be so much waste and deception at the supermarket. I believed that there shouldn't be so many nearly identical products, shampoo for example, with shiny packaging that made the different brands seem unique, but were really pretty much the same thing. But, to those around me, they didn't see any issue with it, so I didn't push the questions too hard. I buried them deep and tried to be the same as those around me.
For almost 20 years, those burning questions stayed buried. And, when they finally came flooding back into the forefront of my mind in 2011, they launched me on a journey that most believed was inspiring, whacky and just plain nuts. That journey is what brought me to the conclusion that I am a New World Optimist who believes there needs to be a New World Order.
You're probably thinking: "Great, some moron promoting the Illuminati and totalitarianism. Damn commies."
Meh. There is a difference between those scary terms and what I really believe in. But, let's find out how correct you are in your generalization. Follow me and find out!
Cheers!
