Hello steemit! I have been a long time follower of cryptocurrencies, but until recently only as a passive observer. I have finnally gotten to a point where I am interested in taking a serious look at this technology from a wide range of perspectives. To start off, I have to say that I love the steemit concept, and I am very happy that I found this community!

What brought me to Steemit ...

I am fairly new to cryptocurrency investing, and I have picked up and am eagerly awaiting the books recommended by @haejin on Elliot Wave Analysis and the Technical Analysis of Stock Trends. Over the course of the next few months, I will be taking an in depth look at these texts from a mathematical perspective. I will also be posting my thoughts and technical analysis in crypto going forward. However, bear in mind that I am not an expert in this field by any means, but I believe that my strong background in computational physics, numerical methods, and analytic mathematics will give me a powerful perspective that will hopefully bring significant value to the community as my skills develop.

In addition to focusing on the mathematical aspects of technical analysis, I will also be commenting on many aspects of cryptocurrency regarding social trends and pathways to adoption. I think that there is a lot of potential in this regard, and I am almost convinced we are on the verge of a full transition into a cryptocurrency world. This is a rapidly growing field, which offers great potential society and the world at large.

As a part of the experiment, I will be sharing my experience as a novice investor in cryptocurrency. I will also be discussing various technologies openly as I have a strong background in computer science and software development. The blockchain concept is a disruptive technology to say the least, and I have little doubt that we will see a great strengthening of its applications through the end of the decade.

A Short Biography

In my professional life, I am an academician. I started my journey through an intensive study in theoretical physics, and in my later years I found myself drifting more towards computational physics and electrical engineering. Throughout my studies, I have touched a wide field of concepts ranging from quantum field theory to modern world dance. I have found each of these to be very enriching, though certain topics certainly took many years to bear fruit.

Though I feel myself to be a nerd in the classical sense, I also have a strong interest in philosophy and metaphysics. I enjoy contemplating the deeper implications of physical principles on long walks through the middle of nowhere. I even have a few book ideas on my mind, but I think that I will save those for later.

What to Look Forward To...

Cryptocurrency is evolving very quickly, and for this reason I will do my best to share my thoughts and experiences with everyone on a weekly basis at minimum. Although the crypto markets will be my main focus, I may have the urge to post on something completely different - perhaps some philosophical mumbo jumbo - so be prepared and embrace the wave!
