A DAY TO REMEMBER......
On this very day, a group of my friends and I went on a so called field trip to the skating rink down at the wallace emerson community centre
I reccomand you guys to check it out if you stop by Toronto and are looking for a great place to chill at a community centre. It has everything!!!
An image of the skating rink as the sun dies down and the stars shine bright.
Question here is why does all this matter? why are you showing us this Yousuf?
well lets just say just like my recent post, I have also learned a valuable lesson that day which is to always go at a medium pace.
what happened was that I was casually enjoying my day with my friends before we all decided to race each other.
we did it because we thought we could prove once in for all who was the fastest skater but don't get me wrong I wasn't that bad at skating. I started skating ever since I was a little kid but it was those 4 years of living in the Middle East that made me lose my skill of skating and so it got harder and harder to skate.
The thing was that I actually never fell down once since I started skating that day at the centre and it was my goal not to get wet because not only do I not like getting wet, but It was cold and so that was a big deal.
as I ready myself for the race along side my rivals/friends I was staarting to get nervous because I wasn't really the best at stopping.
like I can run as fast as I can but I find it so hard to stop. For any of you guys who skate, some advice on how to stop would be great. :)
The race began as I rushed through the cold wind. I was in the lead before I tragically fell on my back towards the end but still managed to get that second position.
I was cold and shocked by how quickly it all happened.
I was as shocked as the play the vikings managed to do for the win as Case Keenum passes the ball to Stefan Diggs.
It was spectacular
Not a huge fan of football but I know a good game when I see it
Anyways through the freezing cold breeze I felt, I knew my time there was done and so I went back to the change room and took of my skates but the day wasn't over yet. Me and my friends went to the mall afterwards for lunch and it was amazing.
I bought Shawarma.... I love Shawarma!!!
In the end to be honest it wasn't that fall that made this day a day to remember, but it was the amazing day I had with my wonderful friends that took it all.
Thank you again steemians for taking look at my post and thank you Steemit for this wonderful platform.
I hope to see you guys on my next post and I hope you Have An Amazing Day
