Allow me to introduce myself.....

Excited to be part of a community that isn't run by complete and utter psychopaths.
Will be an incredibly welcomed change of pace.

I'm in my mid thirties.
I'm a libra.
I've lived all over but currently reside in NYC
I just sublet my NYC apt out until Sept 1st so until then it's anyones guess.
Purchased a one way ticket to Peru so should be somewhere around South America for the summer.

I was born in Long island but my formative years were definitely spent in upstate NY.
I graduated high school in 1999
Spent the next few years with a couple friends working odd jobs and traveling cross country in an old city transit bus that broke down more than it didn't.
Saw the country in the age before internet and cellular service. Had to call tow trucks on pay phones. Had to read paper maps.
Learned how to blow glass. (this is something I would do on and off for the next 10 years)
Moved down to the Caribbean for a woman I barely knew; I fell in like, not in love.
Got accepted into a pretentious art school in Boston which at the time was incredibly exciting.
Changed my life in many ways, crippling student loan debt definitely being one of them.
Began shooting and editing 16mm film. Cut everything on an 8 plate Steenbeck. Film looks how life feels.
I loved it but god was it expensive.
Graduated and moved out to the west coast.
Got caught up in the mix for a few years.
Definitely one of the darkest periods of my life.
Dysfunctional relationships and class A narcotics: a marriage made in hell.
You can avoid reality but you cannot avoid the consequences of avoiding reality.
I quit everything on my own and left that life behind me. It was incredibly difficult but showed me what I am.
I moved back east with more vim and vigor than ever before.
Spent the next 5 years actively getting healthy and working on becoming a better version of myself.
Began actively employing honesty and virtue in everything I did.
Started a business and was doing unbelievably well. Fell in love for real for real.
Travelled the world with the love of my life: Colombia, Spain, Estonia, Slovenia, Croatia, England, Germany, Mexico etc.
Became very interested in economics and how the world actually operates. Sound money advocate. Anarcho-capitalist.
Cashed out. Moved to NYC.
Here I am.
Definitely in a transitional phase right now.
No idea what will happen in ANY aspect of my life right now.
A lot of things up in the air,
and that's fine,
I have faith that I'll arrive safely on the other side, regardless of what that looks like.
