Start of the Journey Towards Success

success bridge.jpg
I need your help.

I want to prove that I can become successful, achieve greatness and have an impact on the world. And that so can anyone. I’m willing to work as hard as I can to go from zero to hero — without rich parents, without connections and without any capital. But let’s start from the beginning.

So, hello! My name is Matthew, I’m from Poland and I’ve just finished the first year of studying Computer Science. I’ve just learned I passed my discrete mathematics exam, so starting today I have 3 months of free time. And I want to spend it the best I can. Apart from CS my hobby is music production, also I’ve started writing a novel recently ( a dystopian one, as I love 1984 or Brave New World!).

But let’s get to the point. This is a long-term experiment, that I’m going to document here, on steemit.I have an idea. Think about any tips that you would give to the person that wants to become the very best version of oneself. Think of other ideas of this kind. I’d love you to write them down in the comments section. And to be a little more specific, here’s my idea for today — tell me about books you would consider lifechanging. Books that expand minds, books that bring closer to this mythological ‘success’. Got a list in your mind? Great, please share in the comments. I’ll write about your lists in the next post.

Oh, and don’t do that just for me, it would be ridiculous, right? Let’s do it for the entire community. Let’s create one right away! The community of ambitious achievers. What do you think would be a cool name for it? Look, I’ll do everything in my ability, but in the end I might fail. BUT, there are others. Wouldn’t it be amazing if we could change the life of at least one person? What about a few, maybe a dozen, or even more! And it all starts here. It starts with YOU.

I’m looking forward to hearing from you. Feel free to connect with me and with each other. Let’s do something remarkable. Cheers!

Hello mattviper! Welcome to Steemit! Hope you'll like the community here. As a start, here are 5 tips that we believe will be helpful to you:

  1. Keep your passwords safe: Unlike conventional sites, Steemit has 4 types of passwords. Each offers varying degrees of access to your account, so know where and when to use each of them. Also, make sure to keep them all safe and secure.
  2. Get Steem rewards: When writing a post, you'll have the option to choose how to receive your reward: "Default 50%/50%" or "Power Up 100%". As of this moment, choosing Default 50%/50% is the better option. But this can change over time. Check our post to know more.
  3. Upvote wisely: When upvoting, wait at least 30 minutes after the post is published to maximize your curation reward. Also, make sure not to upvote too much too fast so as not to drain your voting power.
  4. Know your Steem, Steem Dollars and Steem Power: Steem and Steem Dollars are the 2 main currencies here. Convert and power up more Steem into Steem Power so you can have higher values on your upvotes.
  5. Have Fun and Enjoy!
