My (Hopefully Not Boring) Presentation
Hi everyone, I am Luca Amato 27 years old and I live in Anzio in the province of Rome.
I joined Steem a few weeks ago and during these days I thought of a creative way to present myself to the community.
Why not start talking to me, telling what to do today, going back in time instead of doing the opposite?
Here it is a small and hopefully interesting introduction.
Today, Sunday October 29 2017, I'm at home. For about 7 days I'm fighting with a left eye conjunctivitis. Fortunately I can work from home through my pc and internet.
For about five months, then starting June 2016, I worked as a trainee in an electronics supply company as marketing, communications and social media manager.
I spent the morning on the phone with an employee of the City nearby mine, I wrote an article on a website and I published several posts in the Facebook pages that I manage.
For about a year, I started at the same time a small business career always in the field of communication and web marketing. I've been able to meet a lot of local entrepreneurs who for the first time, had to deal with someone in the Web and Social Industry. Their goals and needs were to land on social networks and create an online reputation of their company.
During these months, I have prepared so many quotes, participated in so many meetings and business briefings and cognitive appetites. Unfortunately, regaining only promises and phrases of the kind: "I did not think it was so expensive, if we talk when the things will be better…"
Fortunately, among the various entrepreneurs, I knew a valid one, indeed a valid one.
Debora owns a Sartorial Laboratory and Fashion Atelier for brides and ceremonies. Immediately, I saw that she knew the importance of the Web and Social, and in months 2 weeks, we reached an agreement for the creation and management of his brand new website, social network pages and marketing in general.
All this, I owe it not only to my family. But also to the master's degree I attended since September 2014 to December 2016. At the LUMSA University in Rome, I attended and obtained Master's Degree in Business Communication, Marketing and New Media. I met fantastic people there, competent teachers and interesting subjects.
I spent two years together with my friend Simone Franco, the one who made me discover this university and with whom I have shared the school benches since elementary!
Even in the three-year universities we were together, but different curricular. He choose English and Spanish, I choose Arabic and English.
During the RomaTre University (about 4 and a half years) I have known and lived the Arab culture. I have traveled to countries like Tunisia, Morocco, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. In the first two countries, I spent a month in private schools. While in Dubai and Manama, I experienced my Arab during business trips with some local entrepreneurs.
Experiences that I define unique and made the person I am today.
I spent the years before university periods, here between the small towns of Anzio and Nettuno. I attend both upper and middle schools, just a few steps away from my home. Also within walking distance from home, I built friendships that still hold up today. I feel very fortunate in this, because now, I still attend friends and people with whom I went to school during primary schools.
Well, I think I've bored you enough to tell you some phases of my life, I hope to catch your attention with the next lines!
Too easy to say that I love traveling. That's why I tell you I want to travel!
Many of the projects I make about me, my life and where and what I will do with the money earned, have only one answer: TRAVEL!
I have visited so much in Europe, but I know that there is so much out there and that is why I find it vital that a person's life span should be spent meeting new people, knowing new cultures and habits.
Among the many places I have visited, one in particular caught my heart and mind (but mostly my wallet!). I'm talking about Amsterdam.
I have been there for 3 times, and the feeling I always feel when I arrived in town was always the same: HOME.
The last time I was there, l have done with a different company, a girl. We rented an apartment with Air BnB in the city center and we spent a fantastic week. It was April 27, 2016 and like every year, this day is dedicated to the King and Queen of Holland. The city was celebrating, everyone were in the streets. Roundabouts, stalls, street food and entertainment, all topped off with a single color: orange!
I recommend everyone to organize a journey during these days, because according to the security chief of one of the Bulldog coffee shop: "Today there are no rules, go and enjoy! Quote.
Finally, I would like to thank those who introduced me to Steem: Michele Rullo and Pasqualino Sorice. Two astonishing IT engineers but above all great friends. I hope one day (we're talking about in these weeks of reunion) to become their partner and collaborator for future projects that will tell you here in Steem.
A greeting to everyone and I hope I have not bored you! See you soon!
PS: I love the picture I uploaded. It was a sunny day of July in Morocco, I was drinking tea with my friends in one of the most beautiful bar I've ever been. It's Cafè Hafa and as you can see, the land in the background of the picture it's Spain. We spent a very good day there enjoying the view and relaxing after a hard day at school.
