My Introduction - Talking about things that matter

Hello community, I am Louie, a 24-year-old male. Just going to say that anything I write is of my opinion and is not fact, so just think before you respond. I am a realist and down to earth kind of guy, and so for this first post I am going to get serious and be real, so hold onto your hats because this is going to go deep.

It has come to my awareness since joining the cryptocurrency community that the goal of most individuals who have come to this space is to accumulate more wealth, and to that extent one of my own, but my question to the community is why?

We produce so much food in the world that even if we gave it all out it would not all be consumed, enough water to allow everyone on earth to have a bath at the same time, enough space on earth to hold more than a trillion people and yet a large portion of the population continues to struggle every day to survive, one being myself.

People think that to retire one needs to accumulate an immense amount of wealth but I have found this is not the case. If one has purchased a home, is generating his own energy, growing his own food, collecting and storing rain water, processing his own waste, then the need for money becomes less and less important the more self-sustaining a person is and more importantly, a community becomes. And this is the message I want to get across today.

But this message is just the beginning of what I want to talk about. I wish to question authority, the social norms of today, the way humanity is pursuing science, the current economic and political system, the use of future technologies, the current educational system and more in which I have yet to question...

It is to be expected to receive backlash from the community by viewing the world from a different lens and it will be interesting to see where my questions lead me.

My goal is to accumulate knowledge and to express it to the world in a way that is easy to comprehend but also condensed and also accurate. For this to happen though, I think the way humanity communicates through the web and in person needs to change as each generation seems to encounter the same problems from the previous generations. This allows progress to be slow and cumbersome for the next generation to come and I wish to change this norm and perhaps change the way we convey our information to the next generation, as this is what ultimately impacts the path humanity takes in the future.

There is a fork in the road for humanity in the next decade, and I can only dread what happens if we go down the harshest path, I only hope that the point of no return has not already come and that my future for this next century will not be consumed by another war.
