If someone would ask me what the statement of my art is, I would not hesitate to reply, “It is to find my voice and, in doing so, become relevant.” After years in the financial world, I realized the emptiness of what I was doing. An old desire had been put on hold. After twenty-five years of marriage, I found myself single. Realizing that there was no one but me directing my future, I decided to make a life altering move back to my true heart. In this journey that I am on, I have started to uncover the layers that have hidden me. I became, and am still, enchanted by this process. My work goes beyond just pushing down the shutter and taking a photograph. To express my artistic vision I use hundreds if not thousands of layers to create a new reality in order to express my artistic version of the picture. I also work off of clients photographs and turn them into works of art. I hope that my art speaks to you, for it is the voice that I have found.
