I Dont Know How To STEEMIT LOL

in #introduceyourself7 years ago (edited)

Hey guys, my name is Jack and my life is a shitshow. Every day I have trouble falling asleep because I am so excited to wake up. I’ve tried many pursuits in my life and had many jobs but the most fun I’ve ever had is creating video content to entertain people. I grew up with the internet and love it as a community! I am here to entertain you guys as well as help if you need it (see bottom of post)

Lately I have been doing lots of drunk interviews on various subjects such as Big Dick vs Big Wallet, Sliding into the DMs, Global Warming, .etc .etc.

I occasionally get censored by YouTube and Facebook. My friends recommended I switch to Steemit and DTube as I don’t have to worry about that shit anymore! So here I am guys!

BACKGROUND ON ME:

I attended college for a trade and worked a variety of jobs including as a landscaper, chicken farmer, forest firefighter, driller and factory worker. I hated all of these positions and the idea of doing them forever- but knew they were necessary to grow as a person and get to where I wanted to be.

Being stuck in a factory job I despised embedded a great sense of urgency to find a way out of the typical 9-5 job. Despite living in the great country of Canada, the land of opportunity, I didn’t want to settle for something when I knew it was possible I could create my own career. I decided to take advantage of so much freedom and devise a way to do what I want for the rest of my life!

So in the fall of 2016 I started making YouTube videos again. I was doing sports related compilations- particularly MMA and UFC of which I am a diehard fan of. They did very well and I started earning enough money to live off- realizing YouTube was actually something I could do as a career.

However, I then had many setbacks. Copyright strikes, rule violations and channels getting shut down. My channels were removed and I was back to square one. But during the months I ran them I was able to invest my earnings well and saved up a small amount that gave me time. Time is the most valuable thing in the world to me.

I now possess my own time- even if only temporarily. I’ve given myself the next 2 years to build my content in order to find a way to make the same living off of ORIGINAL videos that I don’t have to worry about getting removed. As a result, I have become obsessed with creating content and am committed to satisfying my target audience while having a great time. We live in the digital age where anybody can become anything- aided now more than ever by the internet- if they work hard enough.

I definitely have to take advantage of this opportunity- I owe it to all of mankind, my ancestors who had to suffer and work much harder just to survive to get this generation to where it is now- 2018. Even if that means by making ridiculously silly, goofy videos LOL!

If anybody reading this needs help with creating a thumbnail, video-editing, voice-over work, .etc .etc... I am more than happy to help. Let me know how I can help you and I will! LETS GO! 2018! FIRE ME UP! I am brand new to Steemit and want to get actively involved in the community

Ok Dick good luck here.

You welcome

Thank you Dick (Richard)

Hello jdenmo! Welcome to Steemit! Hope you'll like the community here. As a start, here are 5 tips that we believe will be helpful to you:

  1. Keep your passwords safe: Unlike conventional sites, Steemit has 4 types of passwords. Each offers varying degrees of access to your account, so know where and when to use each of them. Also, make sure to keep them all safe and secure.
  2. Get Steem rewards: When writing a post, you'll have the option to choose how to receive your reward: "Default 50%/50%" or "Power Up 100%". As of this moment, choosing Default 50%/50% is the better option. But this can change over time. Check our post to know more.
  3. Upvote wisely: When upvoting, wait at least 30 minutes after the post is published to maximize your curation reward. Also, make sure not to upvote too much too fast so as not to drain your voting power.
  4. Know your Steem, Steem Dollars and Steem Power: Steem and Steem Dollars are the 2 main currencies here. Convert and power up more Steem into Steem Power so you can have higher values on your upvotes.
  5. Have Fun and Enjoy!
