After reviewing several publications in steemit I wanted to make reference to a percussion instrument called TAMBOR BATA. It is a set of 3 drums in the form of an hourglass of complex sounds, since each one makes different sounds (individually) but when conjugating them they make unison sounds. Originally from Nigeria, brought to Latin America by black slaves specifically from the Yoruba lands to Cuban lands, many years after the abolition of slavery, the first BATA (consecrated) drum called AYAN BI arrived in Cuba.
This drum is applied in dances for the Orishas deidades which the dancers omorishas (children of the Orisha) dance making allegorical movements to their tutelary or giardian orisha to render them pleitecia by means of the same ones. The same when performing the allegorical dances to their orisha enter into a trance state, these people are called orisha or osha horseman. With this humble publication today the Steemit community will have a small reference of the vast theme of the BATA drum and Yoruba world specifically in Latin America, since among Steemitnians we can know different cultures worldwide and support each other.
Long live steemit forever
Until next time
