Hi, Steemit!

My main gig is astronomy (I'm a junior in University), but I've always loved things out on the forefront of technology and culture. I got into cryptocurrencies as investments at first, however I am becoming more interested in their possible effect on the world. I am also a long time reddit user. I already can see the difference here on Steemit. People here exercise the use of their filters (I realize that's because there's an incentive too but hey..)
Anyhow, about me... I spend most of my time looking at variable stars and possible exoplanets and if I'm not doing that I'm probably cursing at upper-division physics texts/problems. I'll be entering graduate school here shortly and hope to study our nearest neighboring exoplanets. My hope is that I will discover/aid in the discovery of a possibly habitable exoplanet.

Oh yeah, I also paint, draw, sing, play ~4 instruments, animate, build computers, dumpster dive, hike, climb, and love my wife!
