Paralyzed And Taking Responsibility: My Life, An Introduction.

in #introduceyourself7 years ago (edited)

Serving in the Army for 15 years, I was injured in an auto accident in 1990, suffered a broken neck, was paralyzed, and medically discharged from military service. Living off of my veterans disability pension for all of those years I’ve decided it’s time to take responsibility for myself, and my family.

I’ve always been self motivated, and now it’s time to focus on what’s important!

Many people have said that nothing can be achieved in life without the help of others. That people can’t reach their goals without assistance. While this may be true for the average person, it’s especially true for people with a spinal cord injury.

However, just because it’s been said, or that it may be true, they are not the cause of our successes, or failures.

We are!

Finding the key to self-motivation, know how, and having the courage to say “YES I Can,” are essential keys to achieving success and happiness.

Hi, my names is James @jamesgun, and I’m grateful that our paths have crossed. Yes, indeed I'm absolutely lucky to be alive, and I'm also genuinely happy, and so Blessed to be here. I’m married to a beautiful woman named Anne, and lucky to have such a wonderful woman in my life. I’m truly honored to make your acquaintance, and to be apart of the Steemit Community. I look forward to building friendships, sharing, and pursuing mutual prosperity with all of my fellow Steemians.

I recently started an Internet Marketing Company called GunkWorks Enterprises that is the parent company to the Improved Life Academy, (a blog and marketing division) and Improved life Products (physical products). These projects are still in the start up phase, but I look to be well underway by June 2018.

As a tetraplegic/ quadriplegic my mission, and purpose for creating the “Improved Life Academy” is to connect with others, and share lessons learned in daily living, motivation, love, happiness, travel, health, finance, (including Cryptocurrency) goal setting, and many other aspects for an "Improved" or Better Life.

Most all topics I will cover on the Improved Life Academy Blog apply equally to the injured, and the uninjured. My hope is to inspire those who have lost hope, motivation, or inspiration, and to assure them that productivity doesn't necessarily cease with a debilitating physical injury.

As I'm just getting started, I hope to motivate, inspire, and empower those who want to change their lives, and change the world for the better. Together, with the knowledge, and skills we have acquired we will succeed!

I too have a lot to learn, and I hope that together, we’ll approach this journey of sharing with open hearts, minds, and determination.

Serving others so they can achieve will ultimately help you to achieve, and succeed!

I look forward to building many wonderful friendships that prosper exponentially.

Thank you so much for you time, and I welcome you, even encourage you to comment below.

Sincerely,
James
