Introduction -- Excited about Steemit

in #introduceyourself8 years ago (edited)

Hi everyone. I am Edward

Three months ago I left a supervisor position, of 2.5 years, at a global shipping company to pursue a career as an attorney. I was promoted to middle management within 6 months and those that remain have called me crazy for leaving. If only they knew my back story as I didn't get serious about college until 25. I completed a legal internship at my local courthouse here in Oakland and finally received my BA in Pre-Law a few years back. The urge to become an attorney is real.

Since departing I feel liberated....I was able to get out to Hawaii, check out me and my lady near the waves, reggae music blaring....

It has been after my departure that I stumbled upon the investment opportunities of blockchain technology, specifically ether and the DAO. I poured over hours of YouTube video, mining algorithms, the basics of cryptology, and nearly all the market related data on a wide variety of crypto currency.

I also made a few short term goals with my new freedom:

  1. Get a 170 or higher LSAT
  2. Get down to 225lbs. Currently at 250lb
    3. Open a mobile food truck Trade, Mine, Education on various crypto-currencies.
  3. Help my college level family members graduate..before 25 HA.

I am extremely excited about the multitude of platforms that can be created from blockchain and no less excited about the future of Steemit. I hope to have meaningful conversations on this platform and get to know many of you who may or may not have stumbled here.

Thanks

--Edward

Hey Edward, welcome! I suggest using at least one illustrating image in your posts so that Steemit displays a thumbnail image in the post listing pages.

You can use this tool to see how your thumbnail will look. https://steemit.com/steem/@steempower/preview-your-post-and-how-your-title-image-will-be-displayed-before-you-pull-the-trigger

@pfunk. Thanks for the advice.

Glad you enjoy life there. Looks like a nice place.
