Hello Steemit, I'm Hogan
I recently quit my job as a public defender (criminal defense attorney for indigent people) to focus full time on synthesizing my passions: animal rights activism and cryptocurrencies, because I believe the veganism and crypto movements are the two greatest revolutions of the 21st century and I'd like to be at the forefront of the paradigm shift as it plays out.
Having never really thought about animal rights as a serious issue after being a devoted meat eater my whole life, I became vegan in May of 2015. Now that the meat goggles are off, I have become a passionate advocate for animal liberation, and I intend to help make it happen within my lifetime.
I started investing in cryptocurrencies in July of 2017 and I now have a portfolio of over 30 coins and was able to quit my job last month. I believe that the total liberation of nonhuman and human animals requires a transition away from centralized technologies and fiat currency towards a decentralized future where everyone can have wealth and abundance beyond our wildest dreams.
I live in California with my girlfriend and my two cats, and I organize a local chapter of animal rights activists. With any luck, I will one day help provide sanctuary to other animals who are rescued from animal industries. I intend to focus my Steemit blog exploring how animal liberation and cryptocurrencies intersect, and I will offer help to any vegan looking to learn how to build their wealth using crypto.

I agree that veganism and crypto are the two greatest revolutions of the 21st century. Unfortunately, there have not been succesful attempts to combine them. There is a coin called "The Vegan Initiative" (XVE), however it is only available on the Yobit exchange. CU
Thanks! Yea I looked into XVE when I first got into crypto, but it didn't grab me. I think a vegan coin needs to be built around funding activism projects and animal rescue along with a marketplace for vegan goods. I expect to start working on this project soon. =)

Hi Hogan :) I love the first paragraph! I am in complete agreement with you and really commend you for everything you're doing! Being set free from a culturally conditioned job to explore your passions... that is incredible! I am also living that lifestyle (thanks crypto!) and also just today was day dreaming about my animal sanctuary that I cannot wait to get up and running.
