Hi, my name is Nathan. Nice to meet you all =)

I’m 31 years old, write for a living on a website called Constant Content, and I enjoy being creative and soaking up as much knowledge on just about anything. I intend to keep doing that until the Grim Reaper looks down at his watch and says ‘’Okay, that’s enough.’’

Here are a few creations I’m most proud of. Nothing major, but they add a bit of character to the place.

I used to have a bit of a 9/11 obsession so I printed this out and turned it into a clock

The globe is made out of an old fishbowl (the other glowing rock is a salt crystal) Really chills out the living room

I’m not going to lie and paint a perfect picture of my life because life is never perfect. I’ve been through my fair share of shit in the 31 years I’ve been here, but I’ll save you most of the sob story.

I recently quit alcohol (30 days) after it almost ruining my life. And honestly, this is the clearest my mind has been in a long time. The hardest thing about that is I was using alcohol to lessen the severity of the crippling social anxiety I’ve been gifted. And since quitting, that anxiety has returned with a vengeance.

To give you an indication of just how bad it is, I have rarely left the house in the 30 days since quitting the drink (apart from reluctant visits to the shop and to see a CBT therapist, whose office is conveniently located just over the road from where I live. Thank God!)

During that time, I came across Steem, and it seemed like a better platform to engage in than the never-ending scroll of Facebook. Seriously, fuck Facebook and its casino-esque feedback loop. I’d rather be addicted to writing about cool shit than stuck in their world of likes, thoughts and prayers.

I want Steem to be the place where I share with you guys the interesting things I come across, as well as opinions and theories on just about anything. Making some new friends would be pretty cool too. Sometimes I can be funny, but other times I’m serious (depends on how the meds are affecting me that day lol).

I posted my first article a few days ago and while it’s only had a limited number of interactions, it’s been a positive start. I hope this will be the beginning of a great journey. Hopefully, some of you will stick around and we can share some awesome stuff together
