Quick Overview

My name is Greg, a former semi-pro baseball player from the Northeast, Co-Founder/Operator of Harvey Woods (Apollo), and a Sustainable Energy Advocate. Let's get this ballgame started!

How Did I Find Steemit?

While most guys were passed out on the bus traveling between games, I was learning code and diving into the world of cryptocurrency. This eventually led to what would become Harvey Woods today. I first came across Steemit a little while ago and was impressed that the Dev Team created a viable economic solution to Facebook. Our startup agreed that we needed to make a profile and introduce ourselves to the community. We are super excited to help this platform grow in a positive way and bring blockchain technologies to the masses!

Insight: After doing a financial analysis of BitShares, we came across the Steemit platform. We are excited to see Steemit disrupt the social networking space and push blockchains to the moon!

So, What About Baseball?

I will always hold the game of baseball close to my heart. It has introduced me to friends and taught me life lessons that I will never forget. A few years ago, I was blessed to sign my first professional baseball contract and pitch in the Frontier League. It was an amazing experience and gave me the opportunity to play with incredibly talented ballplayers from around the country.

Fun Fact: Many of the members at Harvey Woods are former athletes or are still playing in leagues across the United States. If anyone here is in the Northeast and wants throw a bullpen or long-toss, definitely hit me up!

Music

When I'm not freaking out about whether ETH is going to get hacked, Bitfinex is going to get hacked, or just hackers hacking everything that can be hacked, I like to play music. It kind of distracts me from everything getting perpetually hacked. It's nice. Relieves stress, ya know? Sometime's you log-on, CoinDesk informs you that someone just took 200,000 bitcoins, and for some reason, everyone starts shorting ETH. I don't know why, and that is why I enjoy playing guitar. Like I said, takes my mind off things. To be honest, this music section isn't really even about music, it's about all these darn hacks.

What Is Harvey Woods?

Harvey Woods is a blockchain management and mining startup founded by Mr. Woods and three Operators (Zeus, Hades, and Apollo). We strive to bring sustainability and climate solutions to the masses through blockchain integrations within solar infrastructure.

At Harvey Woods, I am able to combine my love for distributed solar technologies, blockchain integration, and sociotechnical systems and help build our entrepreneurial sustainable service network. I have a lot of fun doing what I do and everyday is different. My favorite part of Harvey Woods is meeting new members and learning about their skill-sets. The startup has taught me to always keep my mind open to new perspectives and to always have a good time. I truly believe that knowledge is a never ending process and it is great to be surrounded by people that support each others dreams.

Deep down, I think that everyone wants to make a positive impact in the world. The Steemit Platform allows for content-creators to finally have a channel to broadcast their talents without the middle-man. We should all thank the Dev Team for creating something that powerful.
