Adam Kaleb Ernest - Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Adam is a graduate of Virginia Tech and a die-hard Hokie fan. In 2004, he received his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Marketing Management. Shortly thereafter, he made a name for himself in the internet marketing industry by working with an handful of other people to build a digital marketing agency from the ground up. In January of 2014, Adam left a lucrative career to return to his Alma Mater in Blacksburg, VA, so that he could focus on Follow My Vote.
Nathan Hourt - Co-Founder & Chief Technical Officer

Nathan has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Computer Science from Harding University and a Master’s of Science Degree in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He has contributed to research projects in data compression, randomized algorithms, and software obfuscation and reverse engineering. Nathan is one of two chief architects that designed and developed the Graphene Blockchain Framework, which is the foundation upon which Muse, BitShares, and Steem built their blockchains.
Will Long - Marketing Manager

Will joined Follow My Vote as an intern during the spring semester of his senior year. In May of 2014, Will graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Marketing Management. Will has proven to be invaluable to our team by consistently generating innovative marketing ideas.
Technology
Follow My Vote's voting software utilizes blockchain technology and elliptic curve cryptography. To explain further, cryptography provides security and privacy while the public ledger (blockchain) adds transparency and accountability.
Using a webcam and an ID, voters can remotely and securely log in and vote for their desired candidates. After they’ve selected their candidates, they can use their unique Voter ID to open the ballot box, locate their vote, and check that it is both present and correct. Voters can then watch the election progress in real time as votes are cast. Follow My Vote’s software even allows for an indecisive voter to return to the system and switch his or her votes at any time before the election deadline closes.
While the obvious use case for our software is political elections, Follow My Vote plans to offer voting services for a variety of use cases including proxy voting / stake weighted voting, verified polling, and student elections among others. Visit followmyvote.com to explore more use cases.

Recent Triumphs
On July 4th, 2016, Follow My Vote successfully achieved a funding goal on Kickstarter! The funds raised are going towards the Parallel Election which will be discussed below.
What’s Next
In November Follow My Vote will host an election in parallel to the 2016 Presidential Election (a mock election). The plan is to demonstrate the power and convenience of blockchain voting to the world.
This also will prove to the world that the software is secure. Many people have yet to hear of blockchain technology, so you can imagine how many skeptics there are, especially when considering failed online voting pilots of the past.

I think voting on the blockchain is an area that is under utilized and therefore undervalued. So many instances where immutable voting could have saved political disaster and yet Blockchain seems to draw the eyes of financiers and accountants instead of governments and politicians.
Looking forward to reading and learning about voting on the blockchain from you guys very soon.
Strange. Most other similar sorts of introductions get much larger rewards. I can only guess that you posted at an inopportune time.
Anyway, project looks interesting to me from what I can make of it so far. Hope to see what it's capable of in the future.

What are your plans regarding integration with BitShares? Or are you going to launch your own blockchain?
We will be launching on Bitshares first, and porting to other chains from there as it makes sense to do so. :)
