Coming from Eastern Europe, I have witnessed the raw and real street culture that comes with the difficult and poor life people live. As we know, those places are perfect for the blossoming of a strong graffiti culture and so it happened in Bulgaria. There are so many good artists who never see publicity not only in the graffiti scene but in any artistic direction.

Iron Curtain

Although the iron curtain fell long time ago there is still some kind of a mental barrier between the 'West' and 'East' of Europe. The West being the capitalistic developed countries while the East being ex-communist and underdeveloped. In the late 90s early 2000, the hip hop wave took over the east of Europe and with it brought the art of graffiti. Now almost 20 years later, there are well established graffiti artists who have a lot of skill to show but never get the spot under the sun.

With this blog, I am bringing those artists in the limelight with the hope of popularising this culture and contributing back to the community I have taken so many experiences and inspiration from. To this post I have added a few photos just so you can get a taste of what is about to come.
