Introducing…Myself! You can call me Dief. I am super excited to join the Steem community and start creating/contributing content for the first time ever.

There are just not enough hours in the day when you have a demanding job and a young family, and so my list of hobbies is woefully short. But, I’m hoping Steem can help me find a group of folks with the same hobbies that I can share with when I do actually have the time.

I am an aspiring amateur triathlete, but with some big goals. I WILL be racing in Kona someday and so I hope to be able to use Steem to read about and talk to other triathletes and document my own journey. Triathlon is not just something I do, it’s who I am so I am hoping to see what other Steemians are doing in the sport and maybe inspire some new triathletes along the way.

In the little time left over between kids, work, and training, I love to read. I have a decent collection of SciFi, Fantasy, and Horror paperbacks (used books from a second hand store is really the only way to buy books!)

Ik Nederlands ook aan het leren. Is there a Dutch contingent in Steem? I would love to connect with some people to practice my Dutch with.

Here are also some tools that I use and I hope you can find them useful too:

Use Partiko App from your mobile phone to post to your blog, comment, and upvote content in SteemIt to earn points which you can use to boost your own content.
If you’re into games, you may wanna try playing Steem Monsters, a blockchain game based on Steem. If lets you compete with other players around the world with creature cards which you can sell and/or convert to crypto.
Get rewarded for staying fit and healthy with ActiFit - a Steem-based app which rewards you with tokens (which you can eventually use to boost your content) for being physically active.
If you have other social media accounts with considerable amount of following, why not re-post your content using Share2Steem and get upvotes and free boost to your postings.
