Let your imagination flow!
Hello my fellow steemitthians. My name is Daniel. I live in Miami Beach. I heard about Steemit.com from a fellow co worker. I was told that this is a great place to share our thoughts with people. And so I here I am giving you all a piece of my mind. I have been writing poetry since I was 16. Throughout the years my poems have adapted according to the situations of my life and those around me.
In this post I would like to....not just raise awareness to the lack of appreciation for poetry....but for the decline in creativity and original. We live in an era where more and more remakes of films are being made rather than original films. A lot of the music being made today, in one way or another have been inspired by the melody, chords and lyrics of original songs. And that's fine....but a lot of artists have taken advantage and misused the concept of "Creative freedom" How much longer can these originals be milked? How much more is the entertainment industry going to "dilute" the creative minds of the past to their advantage? We are the generation who will put a stop to this. I can go on and on but instead I thought I would write a poem on it. I hope you all enjoy. It's titled "Let your imagination flow"
Let your imagination flow
Let your imagination go like the river flow
Let it run wild like a summer child
Like her Mona Lisa frown or was that a smile
Picasso pastels, pistachio shells fall to the floor
Let your imagination go like the river flow
Let your imagination show like the moonlight glow
Old town miners digging for the finer gold
A young lady searching for the one to hold
To fill the hole in her heart from the love that the miner stole
Let your imagination glow like the finer gold
Let you imagination fly pass the very sky
Never satisfied like the hunters gun and his empty pride
Let it amplify like a lions cry
Roaring all night for his queen that died
Let your imagination fly yes so very high
wellcome
Nice to have you around!
