My name is Sadaf and this is my Story!
Hey peeps! My name is Sadaf and you can call me daf, daffy, or daphnie, but fun fact! My name is actually Persian meaning pearl. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, I’ve been able to experience so much of the world while living here. It’s mainly been through food, but having friends from different ends of the world helps too! The culture here is amazing.
I’ve spent most of my life thinking I was destined to be a doctor, not that my brown parents had anything to do with that cough cough. It was only when I voided my score after taking the MCAT did I have second thoughts. I loved chemistry lab with the fireworks and bubbles—you know the mad scientist aspect—so I figured why not get more of that during my master’s program.
I’ll be real, lab got boring! After finishing my program, I joined the dark side. Started selling opioids, Breaking Bad status. Okay, not that bad. Pharmaceutical sales did turn out to be something that I enjoyed, and I mean I can tell my parents I’m practically a doctor right?!
Outside of work, my rhythm of my heart syncs up with Bollywood. I’ve been dancing since I was in high school and created my own team while in college. Now I’m part of a group called BollyNaach, and we are about to be the NEXT BIG THING!
Continuing with the artsy side of me, I love doodling, painting and henna. I travel to places through my landscapes and feel a touch of home while doing mehndi. Its how I find my inner zen, and I love sharing it with the world. I have done henna for 100s of people and I will post some of my work.
I also have done some modeling.
This is the time I was a DJ. :D
I love being me. Sometimes I wear a traditional sari and some chucks.

I think I am very balanced in life and I look for joy in the things around me. Why Steem? A friend, who unfortunately cannot join since he does not have Facebook or Reddit, told me about steem. I also wanted to be the first brown girl on here, add some traditional spice to the mix, and share my life and gain some insight.
Life is as beautiful as you make it. We have to take the moments we have and enjoy it. Absorb all the positive energy and continue to brighten this world. I love steemit!

Hey, and welcome. Can you provide proof you are who you say you are? A clear pair of images with the same paper sign saying hello to Steemit with today's date would be a good method.
I'd like to know if it's really you in these pictures. Can you confirm off-channel by some means, as well as on Steemit? There has been a string of "girlpower" posers who post intros of people to get votes.

You're incredibly beautiful! I'm sure you hear that quite often though, so let me move on. lol. I love how you transitioned through your story "Started selling opiods,Breaking Bad status." That had me laughing actually out loud when I read the next sentence or two. I thought, "Damn, a hardcore drug dealer?!.. Admitting to it?!" haha but glad to see it was a nice spin on your prior profession. ;) How was DJ-ing? I love chucks btw, I always have a pair close by! Hope you find much success here.
