Satoshi Nakamoto authored the Bitcoin Whitepaper and everything that followed was "what was to be demonstrated". History, unfortunately, repeats itself every 50 years because humans cannot learn from their mistakes or previous experience of others. Reason being that we're flawed into every manner possible.

We are slaves to our worldly desires:

Lust
Gluttony
Greed
Sloth
Wrath
Envy
Pride

All of us have these personality traits. Whether anyone would like to admit it or not, that's an entirely different topic.
