Forest Gumption; A Tale of Shrewd Shrubbery aka A Work In Progress; Tales About Me

Chamujama is a nickname I made up. For my purposes here, it'll have to do. Or perhaps you could call me "Chommy" or "Chammy" for short. I guess that'd be just fine with me.

I joined SteemIt several months ago but never really had any clear vision to produce any content at that time. I was just sticking my toe in the water to see if it was real.(The water. Not my toe)

But now I think it may be the time to just go for what I know and put some of it out there. (I'll call it Forest Gumption) Here we go, for starters...

A long-time internet user, experienced cabinet-maker/carpenter and former lutherie apprentice, my fields of interest, skill, empiracal perspective of knowledge and sometimes just humble opinion, are what I will try to reflect, project and explore in the subject matter of the content I hope to be posting. The topics I may touch upon here will most likely fall under, around, amongst or betwixt any of the following areas; music appreciation, gambling and hold'em poker playing technique, mathematics, food and drink appreciation, vape juice flavors and vape (e-smoking) tech, woodworking, construction and tool tech, house maintenance and repair, philosophy and logic, writing, literature and grammar, science fiction and science fact, anthropological, zoological and technological ponderings, earth, sky and their natural glory and wonder, history, innovation, invention and the general state of humankind. I might even write the odd "armchair" movie or television series review. Maybe comment on a book or two...

I am also very interested in crypto-currencies and investing but in that regard, I am very interested in learning about it, more than to trying to tell anyone else about it. However, from time to time, I may post commentary on how I see that part of the world unfolding for me as I learn more about it. I may even offer an uninformed opinion or three about such things as a means of finding out if I'm right (or on the right track) about things I think I have come to understand. I know that if I'm out of line, someone will undoubtedly put me to rights on the subject at some point (or at least, try to) and I would certainly welcome that.

Chances are, if you are someone who posts about bitcoin and other blockchain crypto-currency related tech and news, then I quite possibly follow your blog here and/or on youtube already. I'm imagining that my first readers will indeed be "cryptoversity professors". (and possibly the odd herpetologist here and there. You know who you are.. :))

Hopefully, something that I post about will interest some of you crypto-heads, as in my personal life, there is mostly nobody that wants to discuss "the new economy" with me. I look forward to developing a rapport with some of you on that subject.

I have been immersing myself as much as possible in this emerging scene and the learning curve is inestimable to me at this point. I hope to change that up a bit. I could almost be described as "desperate to know more" and hope to build some real wealth with what I might learn in the coming years.

I grow weary of the financial poverty I have "enjoyed" my whole life through. All good things must come to an end, as they say. And in this case, I hope to someday say, "...and good riddance, oh didactical curse!"

Just a few more things to mention and I'll conclude what I can only hope is a simple, mildly poetic but sufficiently well written introduction and inference as to my intentions here at SteemIt. Albeit, perhaps, with a slight haunting of prolixity.

Still, moreover, I'll try to impart some other ideas about me and my attitude concerning a multitude of possibilities my presence here at Steemit may bring.

I wish to learn skills to be able to supplement my income or replace my income with a computer/internet technology related endeavor of some sort. I have yet to figure out where I could fit into an online environment but for now, I'm wishing I knew how to get into proofreading articles. website content and ad content (text).

I'm a little out of practice but I would't have much trouble at all spell checking, grammar checking and re-iterating english language content that is written by someone whose command of the language is, perhaps, less than sufficient to provide the quality and clarity they they may wish to present. If someone requires assistance in this area, I would welcome an opportunity to help out in any capacity I can. Especially if it would facilitate professional gains or value of some sort to me in my quest to re-invent my vocation in life.

As for my immediate plans on what I might be posting about first, I'm fairly certain my first blog post (the next first one) will offer my very own perspectives, observations and insights involving probability in gambling techniques and systems of betting from an indubitable layman's viewpoint. When this imagined content will come to light, I cannot say but I hope to get around to being creative and productive A.S.A.P. (Still searching the forest for more gumption and trying to find a tree to boot)

I say layman, as I have no formal post-secondary education at all and for that matter, I never even completed high-school. As Jack White says, "Oh, well. Oh, well." But throw some elementary maths at me -such as a geometry or trig problem- and I'll probably throw it back at you with the right answer attached. Pit my essay writing skills against those of most high-school grads and many newly appointed sophomores and I think I might, in a great number of cases, out-do them glaringly and with ease.

I don't wish to relate as a pretentious fool but suffice it to say, I think of myself as a natural academic who missed his calling. A diamond clearly in the rough. Carat weight categorically indeterminate. Perfect is not me but is the target that I see.

Please feel free to comment on this; my very first blog post on SteemIt. I'd appreciate your indulgence in any form. Especially if it helps me find that damned tree I mentioned earlier.

Kind regards, "Chommy"
