Hello, dear Steemians!! We are so happy that destiny brought you here. Maybe you are wondering if there is something more to life than what you have known so far. Maybe you envision how to become that person you know in your heart you are but are not quite there yet. Someone that follows their dreams and achieves their goals. Someone who is not afraid and takes the challenges of change by the horns. Well, guess what? You are not alone. We are also in the act of becoming every day and we hope you are there for us as much as we are here for you.

We are Kacper & Sophie and we welcome you to our blog. A positive thinking, little bit chaotical, fun and always in a hurry space filled with our crazy life stories, trips, tips, and experiences gathered living abroad.

Kacper is from Poland and Sophie is from Mexico. Hola! We are your new international friends!

We met traveling alone on the Mediterranean coast of Portugal. Sophie was coming from a mountain day trip in the Sagres archipelagos straight to a wild Erasmus boat party in the Portimao shore. Of course, I was wearing the wrong outfit: mountain boots, jacket, and pants in the middle of the Portuguese summer. Little did I knew I would encounter the love of my life, right there in the entrance, ready to lend me his extra pairs of shorts for me to have a good time and don’t look like the super nerd I am.´´ We spent the whole afternoon drinking sangria, watching the sunset and telling each other our life passions: school, fitness, and traveling. It was love at first sight!!!

At that very moment, we didn’t knew the adventure we were in for. That our lives as we knew them were over, and that change would come streaming into our paths dramatically. We both came to Lisbon just for an exchange semester, looking for an easy, party, student life and ended up falling in love with someone that lives more than 7,000 km away. Many people tried to dissuade us from continuing… But hey! Stubbornness is one of our best qualities 😉

The crazy-in-love path we have chosen had taken us to live in Lisbon in the party district of Bairro Alto, then changing the wild night life scene for the surf sanctuary of Costa de Caparica in Almeida, Portugal.

Unfortunately after 3 months, we had to separate for a looong time. It was the moment to come back to our home countries. However everything was planned to make it happen in the next year. Meeting point in Madrid, in January. Tickets booked.

Mission completed. We have met up again at Madrid's airport, after being 6 months in the long-distance relationship apart. Now Valencia in the eastern Spain at Mediterranean coast is our home.
After few months the spring has come. We decided to celebrate our first anniversary in the same place where we met last year, so we went to southern Portugal, glamorous Algarve coast again.

Spring semester at our schools (Universitat Politècnica de València and Universidade Lusófona Lisboa) were about to end. Thus, it was time to get to know more about each other culture, country, and background. We picked up the land of castles first! Welcome in Poland!

I defended my thesis about the world of cryptocurrencies and got my master degree in Finance at the Faculty of Management. Afterward, we spent marvelous summer on the polish coast of Baltic Sea. Subsequently, it was the next time to move on.. Welcome to America! Viva Mexico!

Currently we are located in Quintana Roo, the most eastern state of Mexico. The region of Riviera Maya is impressively amazing, wild and full of natural beauty. There are plenty of stories we want to share with you! It is gonna be the mix of our university backgrounds topics such as management, urbanism, cryptocurrencies, and digital inequalities as well as the subject of our passions: traveling and active, sporty life.
