Bangladesh: Floods and Landslides

Bangladesh is prone to flooding due to being situated on the ganges delta and the many distributaries flowing into the Bay ogf Bengla .Flooding normally occurs during the monsoon season from june to September. The Convectional rainfall of the monsoon is added to by relif rainfall caused by the Himalayas.
Pre-monsoon rains started on 18 April 2018 near Cox's bazar on bangladesh's southern coast. A risk analysis released in the year estimated that at last 86,000 people were on steep.Over 40,000 people since.

In case of flooding, the number of people suffering acute watery diarrhea is likely to increase.One has has already opened ,two other will open later this week and the two last ones end of May ....(https://steemit.com/@aliahmad1996)

Historic Floods

In the 19th century ,six major floods were recorded: 1842 , 1858, 1871 , 1875, 1885. Eighteen major floods occurred in the 20th century. those of 1987, 1988 and were of catastrophic consequence.
The 1999 floods although not as serious as the 1998 floods , were still very dengerous and costly. The 2004 floods was very similar to the 1988 and 1998 floods with two third of the country under water.
in 2005 october , dozens of villages were inundates when rain caused the rivers of northwestern bangladesh to burst their banks. This Floods in also occurred 2015 and 2017.(https://steemit.com/@aliahmad1996)
