Another libertarian joining Steemit? A short introduction and two cute pictures of my dog
Hello all, I joined Steemit yesterday and am super excited about it!
Since I mostly talked about some of my creative work and did not give a real introduction with my last post, I will do so now.
I am a libertarian from the Mid-Atlantic United States. Besides liberty, I have a passion for cars, music, and maps. I'm sure I'll get to showcase some of that with my later posts.
And yes, I absolutely LOVE coffee from Wawa!
Below are two pictures of my dog, we rescued him a few years back from an animal shelter that unfortunately had to be closed down because of the harsh conditions in which they kept the animals. But I have him now and what a great little guy he is!
So, what could possibly draw another libertarian to a platform like this? (It seems like there are a lot of them here!)
I actually heard about it from someone on the Facebook page of a great podcast I listen to, the Jason Stapleton Program. If you have any interest in liberty at all, I recommend it. Jason always does a great job of giving a fair analysis of the real issues, not the constant Trump vs. Clinton bloodbath you see on CNN, FOX, and MSNBC.
I have faith that a platform built on cryptocurrency cannot remain under the radar forever. That's why I was instantly drawn to Steemit! So I look forward to sharing more of my world view with you folks, and thank you for taking the time to read my introduction!
Nice to meet u.
Aw, sweet doggies!! I'm currently googling what wawa coffee is...
Wawa is a great chain of stores mostly on the east coast. They sell delicious sandwiches, snacks, and coffee. Now some people will tell you it's "just a gas station" but their coffee just can't be beat. I can't resist a wawa run!
Ah cool! I'll be sure to try it on my next travels out east!
CUTE!
Welcome wawacoffee. Damn, I haven't been to wawa in years.... should stop by.
Welcome @wawacoffee. Glad you jumped on the steem train! I look forward to hearing more from you. I like Jason Stapleton too, for the most part.
I will be checking out the Jason Stapleton Program! Thanks for the link. :)
I’m being the welcome wagon today and thought I’d say: Welcome to Steemit! I'm trying to get more new members the information they need to have an incredible experience here. I'll help you in any way I can. I'm following you and curious to see what you'll post next. :D Here are some tips:
If you verify your account, you’ll get a visit from Project Newbie and immediate exposure for your blog.
Ways to Verify:
If you’ve linked to a Facebook or Twitter account or to your personal website, you can make a post there about joining Steemit. You could even go the extra mile and post a screen shot.
Or, post a photo of yourself with a piece of paper that says your handle, the date and “Steemit.” Make it fun and you’ll be well received by this fun-loving community.
This FAQ answers a lot of the usual first questions: The Steemprentice FAQ. If you want advice and help with formatting your posts for better exposure and readability, head on over to #steemprentice on Steemit.chat. There will always be someone (or four) to give you a hand and offer some friendly, constructive advice and help on anything including content, formatting, marketing and networking!
Steeem on!
Well thank you! That sounds like a great way to feature new users. Can I post a photo here in the comments? Because I was planning for my next post to be about something with substance, not another introduction.
@pulpably Verifying account now.
That's today's paper along with my handle!
