Trying something new, following my interests.

New to Steemit. Just getting started and seeing how it goes.

Every summer I take on learning about something new or delving deeper into a topic I have always been interested in. This summer it has been blockchain technology and cryptocurrency. Through my learning I came across steemit and have decided to give it a go. There's been bumps along the way, setting a profile picture should not be so difficult, but I enjoy trying to figure things out. I have discovered the for a product or concept to reach mass adoption it better just work or many people will simply give up and go back to the tried and true.

My regular job is as a special education teacher so I am always looking for ways that technology can help my students gain access to that which others take for granted. There's so much untapped potential in the ability of technology to help improve the learning and experiences of students. I'm hoping to simply scratch that surface. I am also interested and involved in baseball and football.

I'm not sure where to start or where I'm going in this space, but I will enjoy the learning.
