Jamshedpur's Anamika Mazumdar has become the first crorepati of the ninth season of Kaun Banega Crorepati. The social worker, without any lifeline, took a bet with the crore question only to emerge as a champion.
The ninth season of Kaun Banega Crorepati has been doing wonders on the TRP charts from the time it was launched. Hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, the game show is loved for its inspiring stories, knowledge and sheer human values. With a door to win seven crore, the show hadn’t yet seen a big winner until last night. Jamshedpur social worker Anamika Mazumdar has finally broken the jinx and becomes the first crorepati of the season.
Anamika is a social worker and is married with two kids. A source told The Indian Express that host Amitabh Bachchan was impressed with how she played the game. “Anamika was a very practical and reasonable kind of a person who took each question very seriously. When she reached the crore mark, even with no lifeline left, she reasoned all the options before choosing the right answer. Even Big B was surprised with her confidence and risk-taking attitude.
