Contact them, they are responsive, from what I have heard. I bet they would add that function!
I have not used that filter, but I can see where it is interesting for searching events. I am usually looking for specific things, and get my news more by browsing.

I would assume that the "1 hour" thing would be beyond their current capabilities. I'll let them grow awhile...
Never know until you ask, they have been searching for many years already.
