Apple Logo meaning
Alan Turing was an English computer scientist, highly influential in the development of theoretical computer science. (1912 - 1954)
He was an extremely clever individual, and is widely considered the "Father of theoretical computer science and Artificial Intelligence"
During the Second World War, he worked for the Government Code and Cypher School which produced what they called Ultra Intelligence. For a while he led H8 , the section responsible for German cryptanalysis.
Turing played a pivotal role in cracking intercepted coded messages that enabled the Allies to defeat the Nazis in many crucial engagements, including the Battle of the Atlantic, and in so doing helped win the war.
It is difficult to determine what influence Ultra intelligence had on the length of the war, but it has been estimated that this work shortened the war in Europe by more than two years and saved over fourteen million lives.
Then it gets a bit faulty:
Turing was found guilty of homosexual acts in 1952. He chose chemical castration as a means of punishment as opposed to prison time.
He died in 1954 at the age of 41, just 6 days before his 42nd birthday from cyanide poisoning - which investigations revealed was suicide, although it has been noted that the known evidence is consistent with accidental poisoning.
Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniac and Ronald Wayne founded Apple in April of 1976.
The original Logo featured Sir Isak Newton sitting under an apple tree, designed by Ronald Wayne.
It was almost immediately changed to the Rainbow Apple with a bit taken out of it, designed by Rob Janoff
This logo serves as tribute to Alan Turing, the man who designed the ACE which is among the first designs for a stored-program computer.
It is said that found next to his body was found a half eaten apple, the "vessel" which carried the cyanide that he (either accidentally or purposefully) poisoned himself with.
As you may or may not know, the gay community flag is the Rainbow Flag, which represents gay pride - which is interesting because: The Gay Pride flag was first introduced in 1978, a year after the Rainbow Apple Logo was launched.

Personally, I think the one bite apple logo is the sign of the first sin of man, which caused his banishment from the garden of eden. Given the fact that apple employees in china must first sign a document promising not to jump to their deaths or commit suicide is enough for me to never own or touch any apple product. Just my opinion, and opinions vary.
