Instagram Stories. Will it Hurt Snapchat?

in #instagram8 years ago

I'm not an expert here, but wanted to see some conversation on this topic  in the Steemit community. Personally, I think Snapchat will be fine. It's a platform I expect a younger audience to continue using. There are people who never left Facebook to explore Instagram or Twitter. I believe enough Snapchat fans will stay on that platform without interest to reshare their stories on both apps. Overall, I also think it was a really smart move by Instagram to keep their users engaged and bring something new for those without interest in Snapchat.

Any thoughts?

@ thisiscarlosm , this is interesting. I think that not only are there probably folks on Snapchat not using any other social media but there are probably folks on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter that only use those exclusively. I would be interested to know the numbers and age groups for each of these sub-groups. I use Facebook and Steemit primarily and only use Twitter every now and them. I just started using Instagram. Sorry Snapchat...I'm already too busy to get involved with you. :)
