Letting go of entitlements

Ok, I really want you to consider, for at least a moment, the disservice we do to people by allowing them to assume life is or should be fair.

It is not fair and the sooner we can all realize that; the sooner we can start living life, in spite of the unfairness...

I also want you to see the impact one person's kindness can have. You don't get the kind of investment this gal's mom invested, by force...

When will we realize that the solutions to life's struggles are going to be met on an individual basis, not something created by the state? Too often, we assume the state has programs to deal with hard things and therefore, we don't have to get involved.

This gal embraced life, without entitlements, and became an inspiration! If she can accomplish all this, with no arms after being abandoned; what more could each of us accomplish?

We get so caught up with things not being fair, or things being deserved, that we lose precious opportunities to make things happen in spite of what hasn't gone right.
