Ruby medicine

original poetry

Now what could hold me back?
I already allowed impulse to devour me:
Made myself a slave to the wretched portion,
Defiled by lack of wisdom and restraint.

Yet though self-eaten, I survived
To renouce that manner of living
And to rise into the much-feared self.

The glorious potential that terrifies,
Pearl song of transmutation and joy.

A midnight swan in the nacre sky,
Phoenix of bismuth and ruby.

Nameless beauty: you are every face,
You are every sin, you are every grace.

You pulled me with a hearthsome fist
Through dregs and disillusionment,
And still you magnetize me to
Some fate unthinkable.

Blessed be the curse
Of my decisions, and
Thy medicine.

Tantalizingly ambiguous, brother... This couplet drew me in, and resonated:

“The glorious potential that terrifies,
Pearl song of transmutation and joy.”

Strange to think how fear of success in life betrays a greater mistrust of self than our fear of failure. Why else do we call on the Angel and yet are relieved when she does not answer.

I think we are often unwilling to make the great sacrifices that Transformation requires. And yet, and yet, and yet - it is harder and ultimately costs us more (suffering) to remain the same. To Evolve means we’ve been listening 👂🏼

This is what I overhear in your love song to Fate, the Divine or your Higher Self - a deep affirmation & thanksgiving for all, even the blessing of pain as sacred crucible...

May you continue to be drawn by your Longing, Daniel @d-pend

I'm glad you were able to synchronize into that ambiguity - the great expanse - wonderful paradox that is altogether unbearable at times. Not sure I could say it any clearer than you did in your commentary, my friend.

It makes me glad to be able to commiserate on these aspects of our most fundamental quest - to uncover who or what we are - to ask to be shown the truth, and have the bravery to not rescind the order, but to face it, by degrees.

Thank you @yahialababidi.

Yes, to dare to answer the call and become who we are, fully... I wish this for you and for myself, brother.

I guess this poem speaks to liberation. Breaking from non-physical chains. Seeing oneself through one's lenses, and not through that of another's is what parts of this poem is seeking to convey. Poetry has told me that there are different ways of seeing. And while I view these words through narrow lenses, they still speak volumes to me.

Thanks for contributing your insight, through those endlessly transforming lenses, my friend @nicholas83

I interpret this poem as a blend between self-healing and looking outside of oneself for medicine. We are surrounded by many potential healers in our everyday life, some truly have what it takes to assist us in our self-fixing, yet some people are simply fakes with no intrinsic healing values. As we dive into the depths of our ’much -feared’ selves, we tend to find the answers we seek. I really enjoyed the mystery and polarity in this poem. It is a tough one to swallow and digest, as each line pushes us to war; that inner battle we fight our whole lives, but once re-read and fully absorbed, it is of immense value. Thank you so much for sharing! I invite you to read my newest poem a rose overdose if you have some spare time and are interested. Once again, thank you!

New medicine on the wings of the mind, the spirit passes through the wilderness of knowledge through the new words of heavenly creation.
Art flying on the wings of your innovative poetry, you have always been irreplaceable in the new era of spiritual poetry my honest friend @d-pend

You have carried manna through the scourge of dark magic, delivered it to the hungry villagers.
Skyward raised hands receive the tubular mechanics of a metallurgical paradise @dobartim
Gratitude pours like cosmic honey from the space hematite jungle
