The Difference Between "Your Dreams" and "Your Purpose in Life"

I've always been a big fan of "following your dreams", but I've come to shift that to "finding and living your purpose in life". Why? Because a dream isn't necessarily that thing you were put on this Earth for. How many celebrities dreamed of being famous only to become disillusioned with the experience? A dream can be something that's planted in our head by outside influences like the movies or people around us, whereas our purpose in life is something that comes from within. In fact, the more "outside the box" our purpose is, the more difficulty we may encounter in pursuing or even acknowledging it, because it's not a standard, accepted dream to have. But when we discover, embrace, and start living our purpose in life, it will stir up feelings of fulfilment, like a void inside us is being filled. I don't say this to crush anyone's dreams; I just want you to make sure you're following your true dream!
