Inktober 2018: Star Gazing

This is Shancai and Dao Ming Si gazing at the stars at night. I drew this scene from Meteorgarden 2018 which is so appropriate for today's inktober prompt.

The stars, the meteors and all the heavenly bodies are so magical and enchanting. I can go on gazing at them for long and will never ever get tired. Lucky enough I have a place to go up on the roof deck to try to reach them or simply observe the night sky as the worries of the day melt into nothingness. I guess that is what Dao Ming Si was thinking when he showed Shancai the meteor shower using his telescope. He didn't mind if he missed it but what's important is the person he truly loves saw it. How wonderful and sweet to look at them and watch their awkward moments. Awkward could be sweet and innocent and eternal. Just like the stars they are beautiful and magical but hard to reach. They serve as inspiration if you need one.
