Sen. Sanders to announce proposal promising jobs to all Americans

in #informationwar7 years ago

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) is set to announce a federal jobs proposal that would guarantee a job with at least a $15-per-hour wage and health benefits to every adult American “who wants or needs one,” The Washington Post reports.

The senator is still in the early stages of crafting the plan, according to the Post, which would provide a job or required training for any American.

Sanders's office has yet to release the details of the plan's funding, but previous large-scale projects proposed by the Vermont progressive have involved ending tax breaks for the wealthiest Americans and large corporations.

Ah, good old Bernie up to his old tricks of convincing people that socialism works.

Didn't everyone in the Soviet Union have a job too and how's the working out for them now? Oh ya, that's right it doesn't exist anymore because their economy and currency collapsed because it was centrally planned and controlled by the government. In fact I think the only real point of the soviet economy was to copy what the USA was doing in an attempt to look strong. The only real exports that came out of the Soviet Union were AK-47s and Vodka while the USA produced most of the goods in the world until the 1970's when globalism start being pushed.

Once the government guarantees jobs to everyone who's job is it to employ these people now? Is the government going to force businesses to employ people that probably aren't worth employing at $15 dollars an hour or they would already be employed. Is it coincidence that Corporations are looking for way to reduce the amount of low skilled employees and force customers to place their own orders or check themselves out of the story?

What happens when you increase the minimum wage for everyone. Does it hurt or help people already being employed?

Let say a $10 an hour worker now gets $15 an hour because of a minimum wage increase. That's a 50% increase in pay. That person now can afford more good and services in the economy. That's sounds like a great thing right? But on the other hand what happens to the $20 an hour worker's wage? Is he going to get a 50% increase in pay from his employer, nope. He actually loses money in this minimum wage increase because there's an increase in demand on the goods and services he buys too and economic 101 will tell you that an increase in demand on the same amount of goods and services means only one thing, higher prices. That's why you can't increase minimum wage to say $100 an hour because it would completely implode the economy and cause massive inflation.

Bernie thinks you're stupid and can't read a history book but we can look at any communist country and see that nothing is free, there's a cost to everything and in communist countries it usually means the people get poorer not richer when the government get's involved in the economy.

Bernie can be forgiven these days due to his age. Am more pissed off by the younger idiots who agree with him without thinking or reading a little history

We are reaching levels of retard that are uncharted territory!!! Jobs for all! Sounds like socialism.

He only brought out a strategy that will secure him another chance in election. Since its still on its early stage and not done proposing it, he should as well throw it under the table cos nobody will buy this

Absolutely it's a strategy to buy votes just like his talk of free college back in 2016 to buy the votes of all the snowflakes drowning in student loan debt.

lol and people wonder why I want to move out of New England. I'm surrounded by Bernies

America is the largest socialist experiment by far. It is based from it's inception on a currency or money that never delivered it's redemption in gold and which for the most part was in the hands of private rothschild corporations, who has always been the enemy of the people, both in rusia and in the other socialist states and commonwealths, who right now vouch everyone's labor and earning as collateral to the FIAT dollar, talk about socialism and Central Control, the kgb would indeed die if they knew how total and complete sublime communism is here.

Because you cannot increase it to $100 sensibely and because somoene making $20 is going to have to pay a marginal increase on goods, supposedly, then it's surely not a wise thing to emply a certain standard, we should let the corporations themselves decide if the work is worth anything, profits over everything because calling it capitalist when it's inherently socialism at it's best somehow gives you a right to take advantage of the disadvantaged, who should either get a job, learn to get a job or a combination of the two.
