Continuing with simple news aggregation here is another one around Climate Change. I've been picking this topic more often because it has had what I consider some interesting activity lately.

CNN: “How climate change is fueling extremism”

Does anyone else always hear Darth Vader’s voice in their head whenever they read the letters CNN?

President Trump Seeking Major Cuts to Renewable Subsidies

Dr. Willie Soon – According to Bloomberg President Trump wants to slash $1.6 billion off federal subsidies for renewable energy.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Planning To Sue Oil Companies To Force Climate Policies

A spokesman for Arnold Schwarzenegger said the former governor and famous movie actor is still pursuing his options to sue oil companies for “first degree murder.”

“We’ve had consistent meetings with a team of legal experts who focus on environmental law and ways to sue for pollution, so we have continued those meetings and we’ve definitely made progress,” Daniel Ketchell, a Schwarzenegger spokesman, told Axios on Wednesday.

The statement comes about a year after the moderate Republican governor of California said he hoped to sue fossil fuel companies for contributing to climate change and “killing people” all over the globe.

“I don’t think there’s any difference: If you walk into a room and you know you’re going to kill someone, it’s first degree murder; I think it’s the same thing with the oil companies,” Schwarzenegger said in March 2018. The famous bodybuilder, who has publicly called on President Donald Trump to do more to promote clean energy, expressed interest in treating fossil fuels like tobacco, forcing them to include a warning label. “The tobacco industry knew for years and years and years and decades, that smoking would kill people, would harm people and create cancer, and were hiding that fact from the people and denied it,” he said.

Is Satellite Altimeter-based Sea Level Rise Acceleration from a Biased Water Vapor Correction?

March 7th, 2019 by Roy W. Spencer, Ph. D.

SUMMARY: Evidence is presented that an over-correction of satellite altimeter data for increasing water vapor might be at least partly responsible for the claimed “acceleration” of recent sea level rise.

Greenpeace Founder: Global Warming Hoax Pushed by Corrupt Scientists ‘Hooked on Government Grants’

Greenpeace co-founder and former president of Greenpeace Canada Patrick Moore described the cynical and corrupt machinations fueling the narrative of anthropocentric global warming and “climate change” in a Wednesday interview on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Tonight with hosts Rebecca Mansour and Joel Pollak.

Moore explained how fear and guilt are leveraged by proponents of climate change:

Fear has been used all through history to gain control of people’s minds and wallets and all else, and the climate catastrophe is strictly a fear campaign — well, fear and guilt — you’re afraid you’re killing your children because you’re driving them in your SUV and emitting carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and you feel guilty for doing that. There’s no stronger motivation than those two.

This next one is saddening and amusing at the same time. It relies on an argument from authority fallacy. It also clearly attempts to define who the new priest class that should not be doubted or challenged is.

Explaining climate change: The new role of the TV weathercaster

(CNN)When most people tune in to their local TV news station, they're used to learning whether it's going to rain tomorrow from the trusted, familiar voice of their favorite TV meteorologist or weathercaster.

Increasingly, those viewers are also learning about the effects of climate change in their own communities from those same trusted voices.

It was once thought to be a topic to be avoided, but many on TV have become emboldened to talk about this subject as their own understanding has evolved.

Dr. Happer will set them free

By David Archibald

It was easy enough to predict that Trump would appoint Dr. William Happer to set up a Presidential Committee on Climate Science.

Two years have passed and have been lost. The first years of the Trump administration were hobbled by poor Cabinet picks, a proportion of whom conspired against him and others who were just hopeless. Scott Pruitt at the EPA should have got on with Dr Happer's appointment straight away but instead spent $3.5 million on his own security detail. In the meantime, the climate juggernaut rolled on, producing 1,500 pages of alarmist nonsense in an official government report.

You can tell how important Dr Happer is by the forces that have been marshaled against him. The three major lefty media organizations — CNN, the Washington Post, and the New York Times — all came out to say Dr. Happer's efforts would be wasted. The Democrats are alarmed, calling Dr Happer's proposed panel "dangerous."

It would not take much effort of relentless attacks against Dihydrogen Monoxide for children (and even adults) to come out against it and protest. They are not conditioned to resist propaganda, they are indoctrinated with it and techniques to make someone less susceptible to it are increasingly removed from the education system. The Appeal to Authority, The Appeal to Popularity (aka bandwagon), and The Appeal to Emotion fallacies are virtually in every news cast these days if you know what to look for. They don't teach how to look for such things. So simply call Water by it's chemical name Dihydrogen Monoxide and I am 100% certain you could start a movement that would be popular to ban it. Simply due to not being willing to research the chemical words would be parroted and the evils of Dihydrogen Monoxide as pushed by some "authority figure" (aka priest class) would be all it would take.

Keep kids out of the climate debate – ‘School children are being needlessly frightened about the future’

By Sandy Moor

Last week, St John’s Catholic Primary School in Bebington, Wirral, tweeted a video of its schoolchildren staging a classroom protest against fracking. ‘Stop fracking’, chant the children in unison, sat around their desks, holding placards they made in class.

The tweet was one of many showing children drawing pictures of pollution and environmental damage. Twitter users accused the school of ‘indoctrination’. The video has since been deleted and the school has made its Twitter account private

60 Minutes presents 15-year old kid who says she ‘put her ankle in climate change’

"60 Minutes" producer Draggan Mihailovich defends kids climate claims: "It's not gobbledygook that they are spewing."

But then 60 Minutes features the kids spewing an ocean of climate gobbledygook!

Question to 60 Minutes producer: "Do the kids understand the science here?"

"60 Minutes" producer Draggan Mihailovich answers: "They understand the danger, that is for sure....There is real fear here. Jayden Foytlin, a 15-year-old from Rayne, Louisiana told me, you know 'when it rains at night, all I can think about is that storm in August of 2016.' (In Rayne Louisiana) As she puts it she woke up and set foot, put her ankle in climate change basically."

Jayden Foytlin 15-years old: "I was never expecting to have my house flooded. So to have that whole thing happen it really just felt like it was a dream or as if i was like just losing my mind or going like crazy. That is just something that shouldn't happen. You can't really deny that climate change has something to do with it...To the people that think that I'm brainwashed, I just usually say I have encountered climate change firsthand."
