Amazon Forbids Less than Four Star Reviews on James Comey's Book "A Higher Loyalty"
When I heard the Amazon for forbidding poor reviews on James Comey's book "A Higher Loyalty", I had to try it out. I loaded up the product page, selected the option to review, I was shocked when the message came up:
I don't like it when people give glowing or dismal reviews for a product when they have no experience with the product. Especially a book that the 'reviewer' hasn't read.
It should be standard policy by Amazon (like other sites) to only allow reviews by verified purchasers. My understanding is that they allow other reviews, assuming that the reviewer has used the product purchased from another source.
My issue is the double standard. For books they want to promote, they forbid reviews unless the purchase is verified. Books they don't care about? All reviews are legitimate unless contested.

Reading Between the Lines
I think it's obvious that if Amazon allowed all reviewers to have their say, this book would not be receiving such remarkable ratings. Most feedback I've been hearing is that it's not a very well written book. Yet Amazon is doing what it can to help promote this book by only allowing "Verified Purchasers" to leave a review on the book. This effectively prevents Comey haters to cause the ratings to plummet.
Of course, anyone willing to spend their money on this book is likely to give it a glowing review.
Bless the Most High!
@kalvin reviews worden moeilijk hard gemanipuleerd. In wat voor een wereld leven wij? 😂
Amazon is playing dirty. They are not offering a fair opportunity for reviews. @ironshield
I'm sorry but thats not what I meant. The real translation is; Reviews are manipulated by amazon for big time.
But yeah I don't think it is fair because they share false information for sales. Thats not right and they don't want to experience the same thing on diffrent thing like: "This apple I bought is insanely tastefull and grows back my hair in 20 days! Greaaat 6/5 stars!"
Its bs and how the heck can we relay on reviews which aren't actually reviewed by real people with real statements and real arguments. For f'c sake
Thank you for clarifying.
I know many companies who sell through Amazon will send free products to people for their "impartial" review. Interesting how these "impartial" reviews are always five stars. @ironshield
I completely agree that you should have to have a verified purchase in order to review any item on the site, otherwise you’ll be left with people with preconceived ideas (on both sides) influencing others. How can you review an item you have never read/ used?
My guess is that they want more reviews. A lot of people browse to Amazon to read reviews and if only Amazon verified purchases counted, the would't have nearly as many. I still think Amazon would be much better off, at least for media items like books and movies, only allowing verified purchases for review. @ironshield
A lot of issues in amazon. Thanks brother
comey is a criminal.

And he's an attention hog. @ironshield
Maybe attention whore? The hog is a noble creature.
Noble creature? The attention Hoggs are known for their lack of tact. @ironshield
Amazon has ties to the deep state. Of course they will do their part. Welcome to the future of information.
Amazon is no friend of Trump since he's been going after Amazon. @ironshield

Call me a fool, but I do not buy into any information presented in the news. To me it is nothing but smoke and mirrors, nothing is real. Meanwhile we are sprayed like insects and poisoned by our lovely governments. Mentally and physically. That's real.
I agree, fake news is pumped into our brains everyday... turn off the news channels and look around and see what is really happening. @ironshield
Censorship in America.
Getting worse every day. @ironshield
I’ve been listening to CNN this morning. They are going crazy trying to destroy Trump and anyone that doesn’t hate him. The DNC are the ones who helped get Trump elected by ousting Bernie Sanders! Now they are trying to blame Russia! Unbelievable...
Ironic isn't it. Dirty tricks against Bernie gives them a Trump presidency. If Bernie didn't win, the Dems would be less psychotic - no scratch that. They would still be psychotic. @ironshield
That is some nonsense. Haven’t read the book personally but I totally agree, there needs to be something done about the deception and lack of transparency here. Always a hidden agenda
If Amazon wants to make a new policy of only allowing review from verified purchasers, I'm fine with that. Just don't pick and choose which books based on politics. @ironshield
I read a review from someone who read it independently and didn't post on Amazon.
she said the ghostwriter did a rilly poor job.
it pretty much sux.
Amazon has it's finger in the wind politically.
if the dhmikrats win the next election the will punish those who didn't toe the line.
or maybe not.
Amazon might be doing it on it's on
Bezos and Trump are NOT the best of buddies.
Amazon didn't need to do this. They wanted to do this. Help Comey with his momentary and fleeting fame. @ironshield
I had not heard this but also at the same time I am sadly not surprised.
I didn't think Amazon would stoop this low. I've always counted on them for unbiased reviews of products. Now I see they are playing with us. @ironshield
I guess now you will just have to take that into consideration anytime you are on their site!
lets not forget who we are dealing with here...

That would be funny if it were not so sad. Ironic anyway. @ironshield
