Incredible India
Hi all,
My Name is Mayank. This is my first post and would be willing to post more to tell you guys about the country from where I belong. The posts would feature many extravagant and incredible things about MY MOTHERLAND INDIA.
On the eve of 15th August, the country got Freedom from the Britishers who ruled for more than 200 yrs.
Delhi has been a seat of history. It has been a spectator to several rulers ruling it with either compassion or domination. The British Rule or the British Raj as it was called came up in India as colonists in the year 1858. After a long struggle period, this British rule came to an end in 1947.
The British Rule followed after the Britishers entered India with a motive to create good trade relations. Initially, they did they establish a trade relation with India, with the help of the Mughal rulers. The British colonial rule came as a shock to the Indian rulers and the Mughal Emperors. But after entering India, British colonists had gained their grounds slowly and steadily.
East India Company in India:
British East India Company had factories in Bengal, Surat and Madras. But their actual motive was to make profit after capturing all other states of India. They fought several battles which made them ascend in the country.

Lord Cornwallis
General Wellesley
Lord Dalhousie
Lord Harding
After a prolonged period of struggle for freedom, British Rule was brought to an end. It had been successful in its aim of capturing the wealth of India. The British rule gifted several good things to India, like education system, railways and so on. But, they also broke the country into pieces and shook the integrity before they left.

Now under the leadership of Narendra Modiji, India has become a Superpower and would be becoming more strong day by day..
