Fast Food: Don't Do It

in #ijst8 years ago (edited)

I was stopped at the light when I looked to the left and I saw a delivery driver, but the sign on the roof of the vehicle was a Burger King logo. What the hell? Since when did Burger chains deliver food in California? What market research did Burger King find that made delivering fast food cost effective?

Who are these people out there having delivered fast food? I would think it would be cold by the time you received it. I was in a reflective mood at the time, thinking about the US food conveniences such as Papa Murphy take home, ordering food online or using mobile phone app’s to order food, has this really made anyone’s life less complicated? A stronger thought is, has it made anyone more healthier? We eat this garbage frequently and it’s no wonder that many of us become future customers for the health/pharma industries, when we complain of heart complications, diabetes, obesity.
If you are still eating fast food, I strongly urge you to give it up. I don’t recommend anyone give up the food choices in their life, if you like burger and fries, then indulge. I would only point out that these burgers and fries should be free from preservatives and it should be made in your own home or a restaurant that shares the same beliefs on food ingredients. I can’t begin to tell you how much I’ve read about the damages of eating foods high in preservatives. Go into any Grocery Outlet, Food 4 Less, Food Max, Lucky, Safeway and look at the back of anything located in the frozen aisle, and look at how many un-natural food ingredients there are. MSG, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Anything Hydrogenated (trans-fat) are the largest red flags that we all should never consume.
I believe that you can either pay more money for less preservative contained food or pay the hospital at some point in your old age. Do some research on preservatives or type those mentioned above and you’ll come away with some idea that this stuff is toxic and should not be consumed. My solution is to go back to eating like your grandparent’s, they ate from the earth, ate what they wanted, cooked all meals and didn’t consume fake foods and probably didn’t eat snacks because their meals were completely filling. We must be responsible for our own health and stop choosing convenience over health.
