Why I believe Shopin has the potential to disrupt retail industry

What Shopin does?

  • Shopin allows you to own your personal shopping data,  and share and sell it as you wish. 
  • Sharing your data with specific retailers will not only help out your shopping experience,  but it could also benefit you monetarily as many companies will be willing to compensate you for your information. 
  • Retailers work with Shopin to onboard their shoppers and create a Shopin profile passing 3-5 years of purchase history and SKUs to the shopper's profile. Shopin feeds that data to the retail sites you love to shop at, driving the most personalized shopping experience on any retail site and app leading to increased transactional conversion and increased revenues for the retailer.
  • It’s one shopper profile for the whole web, giving retailers and consumers all the benefits of Amazon, whilst keeping them on their sites in a non cross-competitive environment and preserving their margins whilst getting access to the full view of their consumer’s purchase history across all retailers.

  • In my view, the value proposition appears sound. Other competitors are building a centralized marketplace with blockchain technology, which is just another emulation of an Amazon-centralized marketplace. But the main objective of Shopin is to create a completely decentralized solution where no one can control the data aside from the users themselves, and where the beneficiaries are strictly the retailers, brands, and shoppers. While others seek to centralize, we seek to empower the entire open web. This is how Shopin differentiates itself from competition with other decentralized marketplaces such as Openbazaar and Keyrpto.
  • The team clearly identifies a real world problem and provides a credible solution that leverages the advantages of blockchain technology. Shopin has a competent team that has the extensive prior experience and credentials to succeed in their goals. 
  • I believe that Shopin has the potential to disrupt the retail industry by creating the shoppers’ profiles and giving them more personalized shopping experience.
