Self-made L Minnow and Crankbait

Seems there is no fishing category in Steemit yet, so I am adding those here, hoping to find fellow fishermen who like to experiment and do things themselves!

Getting back into fishing, this time I picked on fishing with lures. So I decided to make some of my own, despite not having all the equipment (to paint them for example).

Here are my two lures, one is made after the L Minnow design, the other is a Crank bait.

I used lime tree and different sand dust paper to polish and form the body of the lures

I've made two holes in the lure where the weights will be, carving a tunnel so that the weights can move and create noise and attract fish like pikes. Just so you know my nails are dirty because I couldn't thoroughly clean the paint from painting a previous lure!

I've placed 4x2g of weights inside as seen in this video

Here is how it looks before the first coat of paint is applied:

The hole and weights are sealed on both sides and ready to be painted

Let's begin painting the layers and adding stripes and different colors!

Here is the L Minnow lure, it is bigger and has 3 separate holes with weights.
