Even if you write a great original post with amazing photos, there is absolutely no warranty that you will get notice or upvotes by big whales! Whales swim with whales! It is usually minnows voting for minnows, and their voting value equal to 0..

I agree with one part about writing a meaningful and valuable comment. I earn more by writing a decent comment than all those upvotes!
