Houseplants in July

in #houseplantlast year

A local marketplace ad has been selling plants. This, of course, means I now have more plants. I originally only bought the begonia from my last post. Now, I have some more.

Again, I really like tropical plants that are grown commercially. I don't know why, but I do. Coffee arabica being one of these plants. The leaves are nice and shiny. Something about this is pleasing.

Above, you can see one of the succulents I purchased. It is called Portulacaria afra. My plan for it is for it to be a new addition for my bonsai in training.

This is the other succulent I purchased. Common name is eve's needle, and scientific is Austrocylindropuntia subulata monstrosa. I love how it looks like a small version of some succulents, cacti, and trees.

This is an angel wing begonia. The spots on the foliage is what makes this a special begonia to me. I saw some in the store a while back, and fell in love.
