PwC  Hong Kong and PwC Singapore announces a joint business relationship  with VeChain Global Technology; VeChain is a Blockchain service provider  that specializes in Internet-of-Things, anti-counterfeiting, and supply  chain management; PwC Hong Kong is now discussing the possibility of  providing trust-based services on the VeChain platform - Link                

Financial  technology startup Ripple to face class-action lawsuit; the lawsuit was  brought on by the unregistered sales of XRP tokens, which the complaint  claims equals to a ”never-ending ICO”; the lawsuit argues that this  violated state and federal laws, through offering unregistered  securities to retail investors - Link                

EOSIO  releases EOSIO Dawn 4.0; this update comes approximately one month  after the previous 3.0 release; some of the biggest changes include a  new RAM allocation model that builds on a new market-based system, as  well as a change in current time from ”time of head block” to ”time of  current block” - Link                

Request  Network and MakerDAO announce a strategic partnership; the cooperation  is intended to allow the integration of the Dai stablecoin into the  financial decentralized application built on the Request Network; this  means Dai will be one of the first five ERC20 tokens on the Request  Network - Link                

Intel  files a patent intended to allow the production of ”high-grade”  processing chips for Bitcoin mining; these chips would not only be able  to mine at a dramatically faster rate, they would also tout a minimal  power consumption; this comes as the 17th million Bitcoin was recently  mined - Link                

Thailand  to implement new cryptocurrency taxes; this comes as some other  countries are moving to ease the tax burden of cryptocurrency; Thailand  intends to implement a 7% VAT and a 15% capital gains tax on  cryptocurrency transactions - Link                

Switzerland's  largest bank declines to offer investors the option to trade  cryptocurrency; this news came at a speech in Basel by UBS’ chairman  Axel Weber; Weber went on to call for stricture controls on  cryptocurrency, due to their non-transparent nature - Link                

Arizona  Senate Bill 1091 removes all mention relating to cryptocurrency income  tax payment; the final version of  the bill does not mention  cryptocurrencies in any way, due to a lack of sufficient votes, despite  three previous versions of the bill all specifically including  cryptocurrencies as a possible payment method - Link                

Venezuela  announces the creation of a digital cryptocurrency bank for students  and youths; the bank will feature Venezuela’s state-owned cryptocurrency  Petro, and will launch with a sum of 20 million Petros; Venezuela’s  president reiterated that he also plans to launch a gold-backed ”Petro  Gold” - Link
