Hi they make a fantastic fire pit as the metal is quite thick at 3/8" also if you cut it in half you can make two pits as the top half can be sunk into the ground. So it can be swapped or bartered with a neighbour. On a safety note please make sure the tank you interned to use is properly decommissioned. What a great idea to repurpose an old tank. I need a new fire pit and I'm gonna place this idea in the running.

Around these parts, if you find an old tank it usually has bullet holes in it. Everything is a target, lol.
Well you know as long as they are shooting at tanks and not each other that's probably a good thing. Lol
