A Prayer for the South, and their pets too.

Melissa and I have family and friends who live in Florida, Alabama and Texas and we pray that the Lord keeps them and everyone else in the South safe.

Being Preppers at heart, we know that it doesn't take an EMP or financial crisis to turn life upside down, so we stockpile even our pet's food just in case. Each time we purchase a months amount of pet food, we purchase a second bag or can to have on hand just in case of some sort of emergency arises. Well that prepping paid off for some flood ravaged pet owners in Texas.

There was a call out in our little town for people to donate food and supplies to help out a similarly small town in Texas devastated by flooding. The message about the collection didn't reach us before the collect had ended so the only thing we had readily available was five 30 lbs bags of high end dog food, we spoil our dog Dutch. I quickly texted the organizer and made arraignments for someone to pick up the bags off our front porch in the morning before the truck headed out to Texas.

So remember another side benefit of being a Prepper is that you can assist others at the spur of the moment when all others may not be available to help.
