The process of growing and caring for garlic - Homestead
Fill the weekend with garlic gardening, November the right month to start planting garlic. in my village, planting garlic is usually done during the normal season, which is a season that will rain every week, and the rest will be blazing hot in the sun.
this weekend I immediately jumped into the field to monitor the land and make sure that our garlic seeds are ready to be planted and in a healthy condition.
a little information to friends of readers, before we make sure to plant onions, it is first we make sure our land is loose first, loosened by means of the tractor.
Here is a brief description of the steps in the work of growing garlic:
- check soil PH and mineral water
- make plans for handling / fertilizing the soil and application dosages
- land clearing
- tillage (mechanization / manual)
- making beds
- Basic PPUK stocking
- spraying soil nutrition
- Pre-planting seed handling
- mulching holes with machines & mulching (if needed)
- planting
- Fungisiada & bactericidal spraying application (prevention & treatment)
- application for aftershock ppuk leaks
- weeping
- irrigation
- sorting prospective seedlings
- harvest
Fertilizer before planting onions is recommended, so what?, so that the land that will be planted fertile, the fertilizer that I provide is organic fertilizer made from dried leaves and animal dung.
before entering the planting process, first check the plant seeds that we will plant, such as the garlic seeds below
the process of growing garlic by sticking it in the soil.
watering the plants is done 2 times a day so that the quality of the soil is not dry and the onions do not lack water. done 2 times in the morning and evening, because in the best watering plants it is morning or evening
plants that have grown and already have leaves immediately wrapped in polybags so that plants are protected from wild animals.
after planting in a poly bag, I only need to wait for the time to harvest and take care, usually when harvesting in my village, it only takes 2 months to harvest. and if in one harvest reap about 30 sacks of garlic.
in the care of garlic plants. water content should be one of the main challenges, because for garlic pests are rarely affected.
when the garlic plants have entered the harvesting stage.
