RE: Gravely Death Machine

Plowing with a Water Buffalo where I am! Years ago I used the Gravely and liked it a bunch. I was just a young guy and the owner of the farm was wealthy and kept it in super shape. Those older machines did not have any safety features and I am sure have hurt many people over the years. Would love to have a basic tiller here.
Glad you didn’t get hurt!

I got lucky for sure. It could have turned out bad.
My dad grew up plowing with a mule. Some people used oxen. Pretty much every one around here used draft animals 50 or 60 years ago. I don't know any one who does now.

I am in the Philippines! I have not found one place yet that has any kind of motorized tiller. The topsoil is rich and about 1 1/2 feet deep. The water buffalo are very mean looking, but much gentler than a cow, so I hear. Right now I am really doing it the old fashioned way. With a shovel. Lol!

I've double dug a few beds. It's hard work but the the results are great. It's a shame you can't find what you need. A friend of mine moved to Manila a year ago and got married. They are about have twins! My mother in law is from Palawan. She moved here to East Kentucky with her two youngest daughters about three and half years ago. I get to eat pancit and chicken adobo every time I visit.

Sounds great! We have lived here now for almost 4 years. One day I will write about how God got us here.
Have you ever visited the Philippines?

No, but I want to since I have friends and family there now. My wife has been there though.

Palawan is one of the nicest places!
